Settings: Guidance, MCP Access, and Billing

The new Settings page is focused on platform behavior and integrations — your guidance preferences, MCP access for AI agents, and your subscription and billing. This guide walks through each section.

Settings: Guidance, MCP Access, and Billing

The Settings page in Markolé is now focused on how the platform behaves for you — your guidance preferences, your AI agent integrations (MCP), and your subscription and billing.

For anything tied to your identity, brands, teams, or company profiles, see Managing Your Profile: Account, Brands, Teams, and Companies.

1. Opening Settings

Click Settings in the primary navigation panel, or open it from your avatar menu in the top-right corner. Settings is a single page organized into clearly labeled cards.

2. Guidance Settings

Guidance settings control how Markolé interacts with you during brand-building.

  • Tone and depth — choose how detailed or concise you want generated content and AI guidance to be.
  • Language — set your interface language. Markolé fully supports English and French.
  • Suggestion behavior — enable or disable proactive suggestions during interviews and synthesis.

These settings are personal — they don’t affect what your teammates see.

3. MCP Access

MCP Access is the home for connecting external AI agents like Claude Desktop, Claude Code, or any other MCP-aware client to your Markolé brand. For the full story on what MCP unlocks, see Markolé MCP: Connecting AI Agents Directly to Your Brand.

From this card you can:

  • Enable or disable MCP access with a top-level toggle. Even valid tokens are rejected when this is off.
  • Create personal access tokens — give each one a descriptive name so you can identify it later. Tokens are shown only once when created, so copy and store them immediately.
  • Review your active tokens in the token table, including when each was created and last used.
  • Revoke any token instantly. Useful if a device is lost or a token has been shared by mistake.
  • Copy a ready-made Claude Desktop config snippet — expand the snippet, click Copy, and paste it into your Claude Desktop configuration to wire your brand into the agent in seconds.

Tier reminder:

  • Free users do not have MCP access.
  • Guided users get read-only MCP access.
  • Pro users get the full write surface, designed for agencies and brand consultants who use Markolé as a structured brand repository.

4. Billing and Subscription

This card is where you manage your plan and payment details.

  • Current plan — see whether you’re on Free, Guided, or Pro and what each tier includes.
  • Upgrade or downgrade — change tier at any time. Tier changes affect feature access (for example, enabling MCP write tools when moving to Pro).
  • Payment method — update your card or billing email.
  • Invoices — download past invoices for accounting.

If you’re an agency or consultant managing multiple clients, the Pro tier is what gives you and your agents the full read/write toolkit.

5. Where Things Used to Be

Markolé recently split the old combined Settings page into two:

  • Profile — your account, security, brands, teams, and company profiles.
  • Settings (this page) — guidance, MCP access, and billing.

If you don’t find what you’re looking for here, check the Profile page — it has likely moved there.
