Navigating the DNA Studio: Your Brand's Strategic Dashboard
Welcome to the DNA Studio. This is the heart of your brand's strategic development. After you complete the Brand Interview, this is where the AI-generated narratives that form your brand's identity are brought to life.
Your role in the DNA Studio is to act as the final arbiter. Our AI has taken your authentic input and structured it into professionally crafted brand narratives, but you are the ultimate expert on your vision. This studio gives you the tools to review, refine, and perfect each narrative until it feels 100% right to you.
This guide will walk you through the main components of the DNA Studio and the key actions you can take.
The DNA Studio Interface: A Quick Tour
When you first enter the DNA Studio, you'll see a clean interface designed for focus and clarity. Here are the main components you'll be working with.
1. Narrative Navigation
Located on the left side of your screen, this panel is your table of contents for your brand's DNA. It is organized according to the five stages of the framework.
- How it works: As you complete each stage, the corresponding section in this navigation menu will become populated with its narratives. For example, after the Brand Interview, the section "The Core Code" will contain links to your generated Vision Statement, 'Why' Statement, and Mission Statement.
- Purpose: To allow you to easily switch between and review any of your completed strategic narratives at any time.
2. The Active Narrative Card
The central area of the screen is the Active Narrative Card. This is where the full text of the narrative you've selected from the navigation menu is displayed.
- How it works: Read the text carefully. Does it capture the essence of what you expressed in your interview? Does it feel authentic to you? This is your space for thoughtful review.
3. The Action Bar
Below the Active Narrative Card, you will find your primary tools for refining the content. This is where you will do your most important work in the studio. There are two key actions you can take: Edit and Regenerate.
4. The Approval Button
Once you are completely satisfied with a narrative, you will click the "Accept & Lock" or "Approve Narrative" button.
- How it works: Approving a narrative signals to the platform that this piece of your DNA is complete. This is an important step, as future AI generations (like your Brand Story in Stage 4) will use your approved narratives as source material to ensure perfect alignment.
- Purpose: To build your brand's foundation brick by brick, ensuring a stable and consistent strategic core.
Your Core Actions: Edit vs. Regenerate
Understanding the difference between the "Edit" and "Regenerate" functions is key to using the DNA Studio effectively.
When to Use "Edit"
You should use the Edit function when you are mostly happy with the AI-generated narrative, but want to make small, precise changes.
- Functionality: Clicking "Edit" will turn the text on the Narrative Card into an editable field, much like a standard word processor. You can type directly into the box to make changes.
- Best Use Cases:
- Personalizing Voice: Changing a few words or rephrasing a sentence to sound more like you.
- Correcting Details: Adding a specific detail or nuance that the AI may not have captured.
- Minor Tweaks: You like the overall structure and concept but want to adjust the flow slightly.
When to Use "Regenerate"
You should use the Regenerate function when the AI-generated narrative isn't quite hitting the mark and you want to see a completely different approach.
- Functionality: Clicking "Regenerate" will send a new request to the AI using your original interview answers. The platform will then produce a brand new, alternative version of the narrative for you to review.
- Best Use Cases:
- A Different Angle: The current version is good, but you're curious what another interpretation might look like.
- Missed the Mark: The narrative doesn't resonate with you or seems to have missed the core of your input.
- Creative Exploration: You want to explore a few different options before settling on one and editing it.
Conclusion: The Process of Refinement
The DNA Studio is designed to be an iterative and collaborative space. The goal is not for the AI to get it perfect on the first try, but to provide you with a high-quality, strategically-sound draft that is 85% of the way there. Your unique insight and expertise are what provide the final, critical 15%.
Feel free to regenerate a narrative a few times to explore different possibilities. Once you find a version that feels close, use the edit tool to polish it to perfection. Once you click that "Approve" button, you can be confident that you have forged another solid piece of your brand's strategic foundation.
